Game Theory: How Assassin's Creed Predicted the Future of Science
Assassin's Creed? Great games. Awesome storyline. Uncannily accurate about the future of techno-genetics. Little did Ubisoft know when they released the first Assassin's Creed in 2007 that the Animus project adventures of Desmond and Altair would successfully predict the future of scientific research in 2013. So, is it possible to pass memories down between generations as depicted in Assassin's Creed? Watch, dear Theorists, and learn! Game Theory, part of the Game Theorist network. Game Theory: Why Final Fantasy is Anti-Religion
Final Fantasy games feature a lot of religious symbolism. But if you look closely, those references to religion actually form a very interesting pattern; the Final Fantasy games are actually against organized religion...and even the concept of God himself. So today, we're looking at the Final Fantasy series, including Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy X, and Final Fantasy Legend to see just how this popular series deals with religious issues.- published: 03 May 2014

Game Theory: The Metroid Morph Ball is LAME!
This week on Game Theory: Metroid is known for great power-ups, but its most famous has to be the morph ball. So how does Samus fit into such a tiny space? We're looking at Metroid, Super Metroid, and Metroid Prime to get the definitive answer, and let me tell you, it has nothing to do with Samus being in her sexy Zero Suit. Game Theory: Why the Official Zelda Timeline is Wrong
All video games share one universe. But not all video game universes are the same. The official Zelda timeline released by Nintendo proves it. But when is a Zelda timeline NOT a Zelda timeline? When it justifies every other bizarre video game easter egg and cameo the gaming industry has developed.- published: 03 May 2014

1. Introduction: five first lessons
Game Theory (ECON 159) We introduce Game Theory by playing a game. We organize the game into players, their strategies, and their goals or payoffs; and we learn that we should decide what our goals are before we make choices. With some plausible payoffs, our game is a prisoners' dilemma. We learn that we should never choose a dominated strategy; but that rational play by rational players can lead to bad outcomes. We discuss some prisoners' dilemmas in the real world and some possible real-world remedies. With other plausible payoffs, our game is a coordination problem and has very different outcomes: so different payoffs matter. We often need to think, not only about our own payoffs, but also others' payoffs. We should put ourselves in others' shoes and try to predict what they will do. This is the essence of strategic thinking. 00:00 - Chapter 1. What Is Strategy? 02:16 - Chapter 2. Strategy: Where Does It Apply? 02:54 - Chapter 3. (Administrative Issues) 09:40 - Chapter 4. Game Theory: Why You're a Completionist (ft. Jirard and Greg from "The Completionist")
Why do we play games? And why do some gamers feel compelled to achievement hunt until they collect everything? Game Theory teams up with Jirard and Greg from "The Completionist" to unlock what compels us to play games, why video games are addictive, and the psychology behind achievement hunters. Game Theory: Video Game Crossovers, Super Mario RPG to God of War to Real Life
Every video game shares the same universe, and that universe just so happens to be the real world. It's video games in real life! By tracing a path through video game crossovers, Game Theory proves that Kratos could appear in Starcraft alongside characters from Super Mario RPG without breaking canon. Game Theory: Polybius, MK Ultra, and the CIA's Brainwashing Arcade Game
Polybius is the biggest video game urban legend. An arcade game that brainwashes its players with subliminal messages. Most write it off as a glitchy version of the Atari game Tempest, but the CIA has a secret they don't want you to know about: MK Ultra. Brainwashing, mind control, LSD. Game Theory: How Fast is Sonic the Hedgehog?
Just how fast can Sonic the Hedgehog actually run? VSauce3 recently examined the "Science of Sonic," but their conclusions were all based on Sonic running faster than the speed of sound. Based on evidence from the Sonic video games, can this SEGA mascot really break the sound barrier? Today, Game Theory takes its second look at the Sonic franchise.- published: 03 May 2014

Colin Camerer: Neuroscience, game theory, monkeys
When two people are trying to make a deal -- whether they're competing or cooperating -- what's really going on inside their brains? Behavioral economist Colin Camerer shows research that reveals just how little we're able to predict what others are thinking. And he presents an unexpected study that shows chimpanzees might just be better at it than we are. (Filmed at TEDxCalTech.) Game Theory by SunSon / Story Waters - Limitlessness.com
Purchase the full mp3 at http://www.limitlessness.com. Game Theory is a three part recording, containing two substantial channels (60 and 90 minutes) and a brief questions and answers section (21 minutes). This was a pivotal recording for Story as it was the first in a new level of expression of SunSon. Game Theory is also notable for being the advanced message that pre-paved (preceded by one day) the core message 'Your Dream Starts Here' which is Story's most popular broadcast ever. In the part 1 channel SunSon speaks about letting go of the individuated self in order to open yourself to the wider, multi-dimensional, collective experience of Self. Opening to this multi-perspective is to let go of fear and realize how life is truly a game that we are all playing. In this realization you step out of the difficult experience of the game playing you, into the joyful experience of playing the game with consciousness. SunSon explains how the realization that you are playing a game is, at its core, the separation of beingness and identity. Are you ready to experience the perspective of your wider, collective Self? In the part 2 channel SunSon gives a surprising hypnotism analogy to explain how all the reality games that make up All That Is emerged from the original source state. This gives a powerful realization of how profound it is that Source continual breaks itself down into the illusions that make up our universe. The idea of life as a game is then taken to the next level as SunSon uses the idea of computer/console gaming and the virtual worlds it creates to help explain a variety of mind-blowing multi-dimensional concepts, such a game saves creating probable selves as well as other versions of you that you can meet within the game! Teleportation and time travel spells create similarly revealing insights into the potential of playing the Earth game. The channel then ends with SunSon, taking the opportunity to use the strong multi-dimensional framework that has arisen through the message, giving a powerful discourse on the great awakening and shifting of dimensions taking place on Earth at the moment, as well as the meaning and mastery of fear and suffering. The way in which gaming analogies are ingeniously used to convey multi-dimensionality has made the Game Theory channels stand-out favorites for many. Game Theory was voted the 4th most popular recording by Freedom Circle members in March 2013.
